5 @ Tech vol. 5: Animation and stop-motion in virtual reality

The next edition of the 5 @ Tech will take place on May 30, this time on the theme Animation and stop-motion in virtual reality, en marge of the exposition Particules of existence.

This second 5 @ Tech of the season will take place in the same intimate space set up directly at the heart of the exposition Particules of existence of the Centre Phi. Rappelons that the 5 @ Tech, limités to 35 participatings seulement, adressent to the visiteurs passés and présents of the exposition as well qu’at all those and those who intéressent to the new forms of storytelling to the age digital.

As for chaque evening 5 @ Tech, the audience pourra échanger librement with the personnalités of the scene cultural, creative and technological of Montréal. For this evening, the panélistes will be:

• Marie-Josée St-Pierre, filmmaker and author, founder of the independent company MJSTP Films Inc. within which it produces her own films at the intersection of the documentary and of the cinemanimation. Sélectionné to the Quinzaine of the Réalisateurs of the Festival of Cannes, Jutra (2014) has raflé trois award canadiens prestigieux (Gémeaux, Jutrand Award Écrans canadiens). At the cours of its carrière, sound work cinématographique has remporté more of 55 award internationaux;
• Theodore Ushev is artist and filmmaker of animation. Sound film Vaysha, the aveugle, adapté in virtual reality, has won the award spécial of the jury and the award of the jury junior for court métrage to the edition 2016 of the festival international of the film of animation of Annecy. Il also été en nomination for the Oscar of the best court métrage of animation to the 89th ceremony of the Oscars;
