CREATION OF AN AUDIOVISUAL AND INTERACTIVE INSTALLATION
Campus SAT Jeunesse, Concertation Montréal (CMTL) and its initiative Le Mouvement montréalais Les Filles & le Code have worked together to offer Montréal teenage girls a free digital arts creation workshop. Over 10 hours of learning and activities, participants will have the opportunity to create an audiovisual and interactive installation.
During this weekend, participants will create a light, sound and interactive installation using various technical tools and basic programming and electronics knowledge. They will be introduced to Arduino programming, the Raspberry Pi nano-computer, circuit-making, and open-source software such as Processing, Scratch and Pure Data. They will design, program and assemble a collaborative work that will later be exhibited at the SAT. These two days of creative lab work among girls include 10 hours of dynamic and stimulating workshops: enough to satisfy the most passionate participants and provide solid foundations for artists in the making!
To participate, girls simply need to register before the deadline. The first 16 registrants will receive a bursary covering the full registration fees for the workshop.
