Description

Duration of the session: 4 x 4 a.m. (8 p.m. total)

Capacity: 8 personnes maximum

Of the 13 June to the 4 July 2019, Techno Culture Club offers a program of training of 4 sessions practices consécutives around of the fashionlling 3D as part of the augmented reality to the aide of the logiciel Blender, destinés to the artists immigrant·e·s of first and seconde generation.

This program you initie to the logiciel Blender, a tool open-source of fashionlling 3D, in the but of create collectivement of content in augmented reality.

You êtes guest·e·s to use your propres travaux artistic durant the workshops.

Techno Culture Club you offers also of mettre in light the works created durant the workshops during a exhibition the 19 July 2019 to the Centre of the Plateau.

Content

  • Introduction to the logiciel Blender and its tools

  • Introduction to the principes of basis of augmented reality and its tools

  • Apprentissage of the connaissances of basis in fashionlling 3D (objects, modification, texture & colours, UV-mapping, fashionl)

  • Studio Time

Prerequisite

  • Have of the connaissances of basis in conception graphique and of its logiciels (Adobe suite, MS paint, Gimp)*
  • Have of the notions of basis in langage of programmation (C#, C++, JavaSript, etc.)

Critères required

Be has·e artiste immigrant·e of first or seconde generation. By first or seconde generation of immigrant·e·s, we entendons all the personnes né·e·s in dehors of the Canada or né·e·s to the Canadand whose the has·e of the parents is né·e in dehors of the Canada.

By artiste we entendons all personne ayant a pratique artistique regular.

Equipment

You pouvez apporter your propre ordinateur with the logiciels already installed or non (we pouvons you aider to the installer). Si you n’have pas your propre equipment we pouvons you lend of the ordinateurs.

Techno Culture Club recognizes that this program of training, as well that its autres activities, take place on of the territoires autochtones traditionnels of the Québec. the organisme souhaite exprimer its reconnaissance to the Mother Earth and for the ressources that we utilisons, as well qu’to honorer the peuples of the nation Kanien’kehá: ka (also connu as Mohawk), But aussi of autres Premières Nations as the Abenaki, Anishinaabe, and Huron-Wendat. that vivent on the territoire since of the temps immemorial.

Every Thursday evening starting June 13th from July 4th, 2019, Techno Culture Club will offer a augmented reality training program included 4 sessions, to artists of first and second generation for learning how to use Blender for AR.

In this program, we will learn how to use Blender, an open-source program with full 3D fashionlling support to make an AR. During the series, participating artists will also learn technical skills in Blender to collaboratively work towards a final AR, with the technical support of facilitator and artist, Feliz Tupe.

You are encouraged to integrate their existing artistic practice for the duration of the series.

They will also have full professional documentation of their work as well as an opportunity to exhibit in an final exhibit scheduled on July 19th 2019 at Centre of the Plateau.

Deliverables:

  • Introduction to Blender platform and tools

  • Introduction to principles of AR and complimentary AR tools

  • 3D fashionlling basics (mesh objects, modifiers, texturing & colouring, UV-mapping, sculpting)

  • Studio Time

Prerequisites

  • To have competencies with other graphics software (etc, Adobe suites, MS paint, Gimp) and/or, sculpture,

  • To have a low-Level Programming-Language Knowledge (C#, C++, JavaSript, etc.) and/or a general level of comfort using softwares

  • Must be present to all sessions

Mandatory Requirements

To be first or second generation artist with artistic practice. First or second generation is including people whom was born outside of Canada or is a canadian citizen by parents born abroad.

Equipment

Participants are allow to bring their own computers with the installed software or not (the instructor could help to install the software before the begining of training program.

We would like to acknowledge where these activities are held, which is on Kanien’kehá:ka (also known as Mohawk land along with the other nations of Abenaki, Anishinaabe, and Huron-Wendat – the original water and land caretakers.
