A major new event to promote Montréal’s digital scene

It is under the banner of digital intelligence that the Printemps numérique announces the holding of  connecte: Digital Weeka new annual gathering that will be held from May 25 to June 2 2019. This event with an international scope aims to address the field digital from a cross-disciplinary perspective, through its economic, social, cultural and environmental impacts in various secteurs of activities.

« Digital Week of Montréal focuses the vision a world new, pensé under the signe of audace, promoting the qualité and the mixité content and portant the vision a métropole audacieuse, innovative, before-gardiste and human » souligne Suzanne Gouin, President of the board of administration of the Printemps numérique.

En élargissant the portée of sound event with a format that distingue of the events existants by sound approach transversale, and en mettant to contribution sound vaste network, the Printemps numérique profitera fort momentum for positionner Montréal as capitale global of digital technology, to facilitate the transferts of expertises between différents ecosystems, and to encourager the fertilisation croisée of the savoirs.

Of the events as the Digital Week of Montréal mettent en value this richesse and this dynamisme, and have contributed at the rayonnement of our métropole on the scene international », affirmé Valérie Plante, mairesse of Montréal.

The comité exécutif accordé a contribution financière of 250 000 $ at the Printemps numérique. This montant aims to support the repositionnement of the organisme as well that the put en place of the Digital Week of Montréal. « The new positionnement of the Printemps numérique contribuerappropriatement to the priorités énoncées in the Strategy of development economic of the City of Montréal. Non seulement the Digital Week partherepera to the efforts of attraction and of rétention of the talents, il contribueralso to the transition digital of the companies, as well qu’at the commercialisation of the innovations », ajouté the manager of the development economic and commercial and of the relations gouvernementales at the comité exécutif, Robert Beaudry.

The programming articule around cinq pavillons thématiques:

  • Santé
  • Intelligence artificial
  • Architecture and bâtiment
  • Industries cultural and créatives
  • Transport and mobilité

Chaque pavillon présentera the conferences, of the vitrines professional and of the zones of découverte. the event offrira volet major audience on deux purposes of semaine (25 & 26 May, 1st and 2 June) and a volet professional (from 27 to 31 May). The activities and the conferences itself tiendront in différentes institutions cultural, universitaires and industrielles in Montréal.
