AI and Health Research Training
Info
Printemps numérique,in collaboration with Humaniteqand with the support of the Ministère de l’Économie, de l’Innovation et de l’Énergie du Québec through the NovaScience program, is launching training on AI & Health research. Designedfor health students at all three university levels, the training aims to promote science and innovation across the Francophonie through online audio content and hybrid workshops. The goal is to raise awareness and train Québec students in innovative research methods, encourage them to pursue careers in health research, and highlight Québec’s scientific and technological expertise. During 2024-2025, a series of eight audio features will be released every two months, showcasing artificial-intelligence and health research projects led by Québec teams. These features will offer a dynamic view of advances in Francophone research in this field. As partof the 2024 and 2025 editions of MTL connecte: Montréal Digital Week, workshops will also be organized to synthesize the lessons learned from this audio content, creating a valuable opportunity for deeper learning and exchange. Printemps numérique and Humaniteq would like to thank all thepartners who make this initiative possible: theNovaScienceprogram of the Ministère de l’Économie,de l’Innovation et de l’Énergie duQuébec (MEIE), the Fonds de recherchedu Québec, the AzrieliResearch Centre of CHU Sainte-Justine, the École de l’intelligence artificielle en santé du CHUM,the
Faculty of Medicine of Université de Montréal, the Digital Health Consortium of Université de Montréal, Génome Québec, Montréal InVivo, the Réseau de Recherche en Santé des Populations (RRSPQ) and the Société Québécoise de l’Intelligence Artificielle en Médecine. “The talent of health-science students in Québec is remarkable, and it is crucialto provide them with the tools they need to understand and use advances in artificial intelligence in their field. Our training on AI & Health research will enrich their academic path and inspire them to become tomorrow’s leaders in health research,” said theproject team. This initiative
contributes to strengthening links between academic research, innovation and the next generation of health professionals in Québec.
