Liminality

Liminality is a work that fuses contemporary dance, music and 360° film production in a collision of cultures and technology. The dancers move from industrial landscapes to coastal environments, from Wales to India, highlighting the similarities the two countries share as well as the transformation of their relationship. The cultural legacy of colonialism in India is transformed into a new phase. Ritualized dance gestures in a 360° environment evoke something far older than civilization: a connection to the endless cycle of creation, captured through movement. Presented as part of the Festival International du Film sur l’Art (FIFA), Liminality is a co-production by Productions 4Pi and Société des arts technologiques, supported by Coreo Cymru, Danceworx, the British Council Wales and Wales Arts International, and presented as part of the UK-India Year of Culture.
