Mouvements libres

On May 25, 2018, come create while pedalling and become part of a one-of-a-kind artistic experiment! Be one of the 300 people taking part in Mouvements libres, a mobile textual performance with poetic and political resonance, carried out in the streets of the Quartier des spectacles. You are invited to transform your bicycle into a platform for expression and to participate in a major experimental collective work using AgitPOV, a small device that displays a meaningful word in a bicycle wheel. This is the first time the device will be produced on such a large scale and installed on so many bicycles. A staging for bicycles will be orchestrated to immortalize this political-artistic event in images. When you leave with your AgitPOV, you will continue to keep the experience alive and carry your words through the streets of your neighbourhoods! This experience is based on Alexandre Castonguay’s work Bicycle Wheel, presented in front of the Grande Bibliothèque de Montréal as part of Printemps numérique 2015.
