During the fifth session of our event series on COVID-19 and disinformation, we will discuss the main actors, key themes and the development of digital literacy among the Canadian population. We will look at what is already being done here and elsewhere while we continue to face the pandemic.
Joining us will be:
- Divina Frau-Meigs (Université Sorbonne Nouvelle)
- Marc Ladouceur (Media Smarts)
- Rudy Reichstadt (Conspiracy Watch)
This event will be livestreamed on our Facebook and YouTube. Les liens seront envoyés aux inscrits quelques jours en avance.
The Canadian Coalition to Counter Online Disinformation about COVID-19 is a project created by the Montréal Institute for Genocide and Human Rights Studies with funding from Canadian Heritage. Our mission is to develop digital literacy and resilience among Canadians as they face COVID-19-related disinformation and misinformation.
As part of this project, we are organizing a series of digital assemblies on themes such as foreign influence, conspiracy theories and fake news. This event is the last in our assembly series.
Please note that this session will be held in French only.
