Coding Workshop with the Atikamekw Nation: Exploring the Possibilities of Digital Technology

Montréal, November 2, 2020 — To support the development of digital literacy skills among young people andpromote equal opportunity in digitaltechnology, Printemps numérique collaborated with the Conseil de la Nation Atikamekw on a coding workshop. The activity

introduced participants

to the possibilities of digital tools and encouraged curiosity, creativity and logical thinking. It also reflected
the importance

of adapting digital learning to communities and of
creating opportunities

beyond major urban centres. By working with the Atikamekw Nation,
Printemps numérique

continues its Jeunesse QC 2030 mission to reduce the digital
divide and

support youth empowerment through accessible, inclusive and culturallyrelevant

digital

education.
