Buckython: Fuller in the Spotlight
It is said that with the Biosphere, he created the symbolic equivalent of theEiffel Tower in North America. Some even call him the Leonardo da Vinci of the twenty-first century. Buckminster Fuller certainly left a mark on Montréal, and the Buckython paid tribute tohim in a very friendly way.

event showed the value of bringing together artists, developers, thinkers and citizens. For Maison Notman, it exceeded expectations by pushing people out of their silos and encouraging collaboration. For the Société des arts technologiques, hackathons are powerful because they help people leave their comfort zones and think
about social issues in new ways. The Buckminster Fuller Institute also underlined the importance of understanding the place where we live and being sensitive to its history in order to innovate and build the future. Montréal becomes a perfect microcosm for this approach, and its model

elsewhere. The first Buckython was a collective success. Organized as part of the second edition of Printemps numérique, it was a collaboration between Maison Notman, the Société des arts technologiques and
the Buckminster Fuller Institute, with support from the Consulate General of the United States in Montréal, O2 Web, [SAT]Credo Productions and Yelp Montréal. Following thisfirst experience,Buckython will return inforce next
year.
