The Japanese collective Rhizomatiks, founded by Daito Manabe, and the dance company ELEVENPLAY, led by choreographer MIKIKO, will present discrete figures,a choreography combining the movement of five dancers with machine-learning technology in a scenography where drones, virtual bodies and connected objects interact. This world premiere, presented by MUTEK_IMG, places cutting-edge technologiesat the service of art in a striking multimedia performance. discrete figures will be presented on April 13 at the Monument-National in the heart of the Quartier des spectacles. It is an extraordinary show not to be

missed. Daito Manabe and Rhizomatiks Research have worked with Björk, Squarepusher, Ryuichi Sakamoto and Perfume, as well as more regularly with Nosaj Thing on virtual-reality projects and audiovisual performances. The project was made possible with support from the Japan Foundation through the Performing Arts JAPAN program, and with the collaboration of MAPP_MTL. The event is part ofthe

fourth edition of MUTEK_IMG, a forum on current practices in digital creation taking place April 11 to 13 at Centre Phi.
