#intersections VOL.7: Algorithmic Governance

For the launch of its fifth edition, Printemps numérique and the Brussels-Capital Region invite you onThursday,

March 15 to the Canadian Centre for Architecture for the next event in

the #intersections

series, devoted to algorithmic governance. The event is part of the State Visit of Their Majesties the King and Queen of the Belgians and will

take place in their presence. Algorithms, artificial intelligence, rights and freedoms:

in an increasingly complex world, algorithmicrationality is seductive because of its machine-like objectivity. Algorithms have entered daily life to guide our actions and behaviours. Yet their growing role in government, economic and social

• decisions raises issues of transparency,sovereignty and regulation,as well as important questions about restrictions on our freedom and collective power to act.
