Spotlight on the First Edition of Cabaret Numérique
The evening of May 9 will offer an eclectic program of talented artists adapting technology tocontemporary creation.In the baroque setting of the legendary Théâtre Rialto, the first edition of Cabaret Numérique willbringtogether Arnoovo’s immersive installationsand innovative performances from Québec’s creative scene, from 7 p.m. to midnight. The program opens with Orchestre 21, whose forty

conducted by Paolo Bellomia,will perform a contemporary classical piece supported by a connected jacket that turns the conductor’s movements into light and visual projections. Eraylik,
FRB and Christo Saba will present Vibe: le désir qui rend aveugle, using a sensor-equipped jacket to create a multisensory choreography, while Jullian Hoff and Charlotte Layec will stage adialogue between bass clarinet and analgorithm-controlled digitalartefact in Transfigured Tube. Lucas DiTecco’s sound loop, Van Did’s DJ set,immersive work by Myriam Boucher and Mélik-Alexandre Farhat, and T. Gowdy’s

surveillance-based images and sound will complete theevening. Produced in close collaboration with Printemps numérique, the event is an initiative of Musicmotion, a non-profit founded in 2016 to create synergies amongdevelopers, scientists and artists and to
digital art.
