of the AI & Health Research Training series explores the use of
video analysis for early detection of respiratory distress in children. Led by Philippe
Jouvet of

- Université de Montréal
- and Rita
Noumeir of ÉTS, an interdisciplinary team
algorithm ableto estimate inspired air volume and respiratory rate in youngpatients. The episode presents the benefits of video-based
analysis,the potential of AI in pediatric intensivecare and the future of this technology. Printemps
numérique and Humaniteq
also launch
a student contest for university students
in health in Québec, inviting interdisciplinary
project proposals at theintersection of AIand health sciences. Five selected projects will be presented during thesecond training workshop at MTL connecte in Montréal, with
a $200 bursary awarded to each selectedparticipant. Theinitiative issupportedbyNovaScience andmany researchpartners committedto francophonescience in AI andhealth.
