The Imaginary Cosmoses of Sight & Sound

In a well-hidden building with an industriallook that serves as headquarters for Eastern Bloc, I attended one of the most relaxing performances I have seen: You Never Know, also called The Imaginary Cosmoses, presented as part of Sight & Sound | Hyperlocal. The work created an atmosphere that seemed suspended between sound, image and inner landscape. Rather than overwhelming the audience, it

invited careful

listening and contemplation. The performance unfolded slowly, drawing spectators into a subtle cosmos of textures and vibrations. Eastern Bloc’s

space was perfectly suited to this intimate experience. Its raw character helped reinforce the impression of entering a hidden laboratory for digital art. In the context of Sight & Sound, the piece reflected the festival’s interest in local environments, experimental forms and the relationship

between technology and perception. You Never Know offered a quiet but memorable moment, a reminder that digital art can also be gentle, meditative and open to the imagination.
