Fashiontech Festival
Fashiontech Festival (FTF) is a new international event taking place in Montréal. It brings together fashion designers, engineers, startups and companies from the IT sector, technology and innovation, that are investing in the development of smart clothing and accessories. FTF will present a conference and a fashiontech hackathon, a collaborative new-technology event designed to develop projects, guided by a panel of
local and international experts. The festival was born from a desire to bring together communities from different sectors whose interests converge around fashion and technology. Fashiontech Festival seeks to create contexts for exploration and experimentation and to promote technological advances in fashion. Through the festival, the goal is to invite these communities to engage in future-oriented projects while collaboratively developing ideas and prototypes that use technology to transform the fashion
industry. FTF argues that creative industries, in Montréal and internationally, can benefit from a festival that encourages exchange, collaboration and experimentation around fashion and technology. More than a conference and a fashion show, the festival is positioned around the convergence of knowledge and know-how, the enrichment of ideas and technological ambition. At the end of its three days, it also aims to establish partnerships among the different participating stakeholders. In short, Fashiontech Festival gives Montréal an event that brings together fashion artists and artisans, thinkers, industry, and consumers of fashion and technology. Long life to it!
