Mamo/Mamu

Mamo/Mamu, which means “Together” in the Innu and Atikamekw languages, brings together young First Nations leaders from Québec to reflect on the future of digital

technology in their communities. Through workshops, discussions and creative experiences, participants explore the possibilities offered by emerging technologies while emphasizing the preservation and enhancement of Indigenous cultures. The project supports the development of digital skills, intergenerational knowledge sharing and the creation of solutions adapted to community realities. Reflections

carried out through Mamo/Mamu highlight, in particular, the importance of strengthening the presence of Indigenous cultures in digital spaces, reconnecting young people with their territory, and integrating digital literacy and cultural-preservation technologies more fully into educational settings. Mamo/Mamu

thus helps imagine an inclusive digital future rooted in the cultures, territories and aspirations of young First Nations people.
