Mois Numérique Jeunesse

Mois Numérique Jeunesse (MNJ) is the major annual event dedicated to discovering digital technology in Québec. Every February, it invites young people aged 8 to 35, as well as the general public, to explore a wide range of inspiring digital-literacy initiatives. Through its awareness campaign, it also helps people better understand the challenges and opportunities of digital technology

in our society. Thanks to the activities and resources offered by its collaborators across Québec, MNJ helps democratize access to technologies, develop essential digital skills and promote equal opportunity. This collective mobilization gives young people and the general public a unique opportunity to discover, learn and take ownership of today’s and

tomorrow’s digital tools. In 2026, the MNJ awareness campaign focused on the theme “Zero toxicity in your digital universe!” This message invited everyone to reflect on their role in creating healthier, safer and more caring digital spaces. Because every comment, reaction or share helps shape our online environment, MNJ encourages positive and respectful digital practices.

testimonials

“As a proud collaborator in this edition of Mois Numérique Jeunesse, our participation marked a decisive turning point for our brand-new program, Youth Digital Compass. [...] We are deeply grateful for the platform offered by Mois Numérique Jeunesse. For an emerging program like ours, this visibility was the catalyst we needed to become known. [...] We saw an increase in engagement among both young people and their parents.”

“We had 60 participants for our online quizzes, which is much more than usual.”

“One particularly memorable moment came when a participant took the initiative to share with the group what she had just experienced in the virtual-reality headset. She described with great emotion how she felt in the bullying situation presented in the immersive experience. Her testimony opened a very authentic space for discussion among the young people. Several then shared their own reflections and ‘zero-toxicity tips’ for avoiding or defusing bullying situations in their daily lives, whether at school or online. This moment showed how much an immersive experience can spark empathy and encourage young people to reflect collectively on more respectful and caring behaviours.”
